Meet The Distributor – Bhavesh Shah, Managing Director and Iyadurai Pandian, Head of Projects and Services at Maxlife Health Enterprises Private Limited, Bangalore, India
Established in 2007, Maxlife’s mission is to introduce state-of-the-art medical disposables and equipment to the Indian healthcare sector. Firmly established in South India, with their head office in Bangalore and branch office in Chennai, we caught up with Managing Director, Bhavesh Shah and Head of Projects and Services, Iyadurai Pandian at the recent Medicall Trade Fair in Chennai.
Bhavesh told us, “I first met Adam (Daniels, Export Development and Marketing at Intercall) when Intercall visited Bangalore as part of a UK DIT Med Tech Trade Mission in cooperation with the ABHI (Association of British Healthcare Industries) back in 2018. I remembered our conversation when I appointed Pandian as a nurse call system specialist sometime later, and recommended he reach out. Adam and Pandian met at Intersec, Dubai in January 2020 and were just putting plans together to visit India and introduce Intercall to some key clients and hospitals when the pandemic put our plans on hold. We nevertheless kept in touch, and fast forward three years to earlier this year when Adam was able to visit and support us at the recent Medicall Trade Fair in Chennai.”
Making huge inroads in a traditionally conservative Indian market, both Maxlife and Intercall are excited about the partnership. “We only work with the best of the best products and developed a good communication with Intercall despite the distance and lockdown”, Bhavesh told us. “We concentrate on nurse call, especially Intercall Touch, with its superior flexibility and customisation. But we see real market potential for Intercall One to grow our market share as a cost-effective solution.”
Both Maxlife and Intercall were delighted to receive positive feedback from recent installation clients at the Medicall Trade Fair in Chennai, while meeting new contacts, many of whom showed particular interest in the new Intercall Care Tokens, impressed by their ability to help identify and support staff.
