Meet the Distribution Partner: John Scott, AusScott

The Guardian system is second to none. It’s very simple and it works

It’s always great to catch up with distribution and installation partners, especially from ‘down under’. This year’s IFSEC London gave us just that opportunity. We caught up with Intercall partners John Scott and Daniel Langoulant at AusScott Systems to talk about all things Guardian and Intercall. 
 
AusScott is an Australian-based business that specialises in installing Guardian Systems in Hospitals and Mental Health Units across the country. The business started around 16 years ago, during which time they supplied and installed numerous Guardian Systems. 
 
John told us, “We started off with one of the busier hospitals in Perth, Bentley Hospital and it just rolled on from there. Recently, we undertook a project in Sydney, in Bankstown Hospital, although these days we do a lot of mental health-related projects, sadly due to the rise in mental health issues. 
 
The Guardian system is second to none. It’s very simple and it works. We make sure we keep the maintenance up and make sure everything is running the way it should. At the end of the day, if that product fails, someone could get seriously injured – thankfully, that’s never happened. 
 
We have a great working relationship with Intercall. It’s not often that we’ve got a problem, but anytime we’ve rung up for support, we’ve never had any issues. We’ve been working with each other for so many years. We try to catch up with the Intercall team most years, usually at an event (Intersec in Dubai), it’s always good to put a face to the name”. 
 
We’re looking forward to working more with Intercall and their innovative Nurse Call Systems in the near future. There are lots of opportunities. 
 
At Intercall, we’re excited about future projects with AusScott Systems and look forward to catching up face-to-face with John, Dan and the team again soon.
