Intercall attended the first-ever Intersec event back in 1998 when we exhibited as part of the Department of International Trade UK Pavilion
This January saw the 24th Edition of Intersec Dubai. Intersec is one of the most notable events in the global security and safety industry calendar, with attendees from 131 countries.
Intercall attended the first-ever Intersec event back in 1998 when we exhibited as part of the Department of International Trade UK Pavilion, which gave a platform for pioneering exporters from different sectors who were looking for International opportunities. Since that time, both Intercall and Intersec have come a long way.
In recent years, Intercall’s presence in the UAE and the surrounding area has grown such that Intercall exhibits independently with its own brand presence, this year exhibiting Intercall’s newest nurse call innovation, Intercall One and our full IP Intercall Touch range. Intercall has also developed an enviable reputation across the region for adapting nurse call systems for Disabled Toilet Alarm Solutions through our local partner, MPI. Installed over IP LAN infrastructure, notable installations include The Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates, and our applications can be extended from single zone to office buildings and large shopping malls.
This year’s event was arguably the biggest and best to date. Flying the flag for Intercall and their UK-manufactured products were Adam Daniels and Duncan Lade, who enjoyed catching up with distributors and partners, many of whom they hadn’t seen for a long time. This included Kyr from Egypt – with whom Intercall will be running a seminar in Cairo this May, Metrix Security from Pakistan, Al-Alameya from Saudi Arabia, AMPS from Bahrain and GI from Israel.
Adam and Duncan were delighted to be supported on the stand by regional partners MPi QR Division, a subsidiary of the multinational engineering company, that operates across the Middle East and are specialists in Iraq. The MPi team, including MD, Quieta Raouf, and colleagues Ahmed Jasim (Iraq), Osama Al-Sharif (Middle East), Laith Ameer (Oman) and Nizam, provided invaluable help on the stand. Meanwhile, Duncan hosted live training sessions for both MPi engineers, as well as partners and clients, such as Kirkuk Hospital in Iraq.
The event was a huge success, with Adam and Duncan returning to the UK tired, but delighted. Next year will see the 25th Silver Jubilee year for Intersec Dubai, and the Intercall team are looking forward to exhibiting and celebrating with clients, distributors, and partners. We hope to see you there in 2024.
