Brooklands is a family-owned nursing home situated on the edge of Ashdown Forest. The owner, Mr Hadi Rajabali, has maintained Brooklands as his flagship facility. Nearly 20 years ago, Hadi contacted Intercall to arrange the installation of their best-selling legacy nurse call system, the Intercall 600, a decision he’s been very happy with. During the past 20 years, Brooklands has grown and developed with the addition of various extensions and was now at a point where the management team were looking to upgrade the system.
Through the ownership and management of several care homes, Hadi is no stranger to the various nurse call options on the market and has had experience of both wired and radio systems. Unquestionably, he’s found wired systems to be more reliable and economic to run so decided to contact Intercall to find out what options were available.
After consultation, Intercall identified Brooklands as a perfect candidate for the new One series nurse call system and suggested that they work together to make the care home a trial site. Every new product designed and manufactured by Intercall goes through a period of rigorous testing and the One series was no different. Although confident that the series was ready for roll-out, Intercall couldn’t miss the opportunity to work with Hadi and his team to acquire real-life feedback from a client already familiar with Intercall’s products and service.
Hadi and his management team were impressed by the clean, modern design of the One system and liked the option of lightweight infra-red neck pendants for his clients, which gave them greater access to a call button. The inbuilt call logging system was exactly what Hadi and his team were looking for, enabling them to capture and record all call activity within the systems internal memory.
The local installation company were equally impressed, and all parties found the transition to the upgrade straightforward. With just a two-day installation period, Hadi was delighted with the minimal disruption to the running of the facility, which is reputed for its homely environment.
