A partnership forged in the early days of addressable nurse call for care homes and nursing homes, Intercall and Saturn Sales & Services Ltd have a long history of collaboration. We spoke to Dave Wallis, Managing Director at Saturn Sales & Services Ltd, about their business and their partnership with Intercall.
Incorporated in 1993, Saturn Sales & Services are based in Somerset, South West England. Primarily working in the elderly care sector, they cover the whole of the South of England and Wales offering a complete design, supply, installation and commissioning service, backed by a comprehensive maintenance service.
Dave told us, “Saturn naturally adopted all the Intercall nurse call ranges over the years and have installed in excess of 2,500 systems in care homes and health care facilities of all sizes across the region. Both companies have developed a reputation for long term reliability through the use of hard-wired solutions. In the care sector system reliability and compliance with CQC regulations are key, and Intercall is the market leading nurse call manufacturer in the sector. We also install Guardian staff attack solutions based on the Intercall infrastructure.”
Discussing recent projects, Dave went on to tell us, “We have done a lot of work recently with Hampshire County Council, initially upgrading from a Intercall 600 system to the Intercall Touch nurse call system. The project required bespoke integration with drug safes using the Intercall Care Cards, along with the installation of Safeguard monitors to automatically activate low voltage lighting when residents get out of bed at night. Hampshire County Council are working closely with Saturn and Intercall to develop the call logging system, moving it to a cloud-based system which will enable senior management staff to glean greater levels of information relating to the nurse call system.”
It is a partnership built on trust, which has stood the test of time.
Speaking about the partnership with the Intercall team, Dave told us, “We partnered with Intercall in the early 1990’s and have never looked at any other system since that time. It’s a great product that does what it says on the tin and a partnership built on trust, which has stood the test of time.”
