The rollout programme for Intercall One continues at a pace with the latest installation at Eckington Court, Derbyshire UK.
Part of the Orchard Care Homes’ portfolio of residences across the North of England and the Midlands, Eckington Court were looking for a nurse call system that could fulfil the requirements of both its residents and staff, which would be discreet, give a fresh new look and most importantly, harness the latest technology and enable full data logging to meet CQC standards. The new Intercall One fit the brief perfectly.
Installed by Intercall partners, Safety Systems Distribution, the installation of the 50-bed care home was undertaken in sections and over a week to ensure that the home remained operational with minimum disruption while using the existing wire infrastructure wherever possible.
The installation included nurse call panels, door access points, nurse call aids and call points, giving Eckington Court a modern call system offering easy communication and management of patient care. Trudy Godley, Home Manager at Eckington Court, is full of praise for the new system. “Since the installation of the Intercall One nurse call system, we have seen our response times dramatically improve, staff can clear down calls as they are dealt with, and residents feel safer wherever they are in the home. We are always on alert to deal with any situation, but the new technology provides us with immediate information so that we can respond quickly.”
Following the success of the Eckington Court installation, Orchard Care Homes are now planning to undertake similar upgrades at their other residences.
