Before we leap from 2024 into 2025, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the past year.
A year that saw both the first private spacecraft land on the moon and the discovery of the ruins of an ancient lost city in Ecuador. History was made as the first female president was elected in South America and the world enjoyed a spectacular Summer Olympics in Paris. Wildfires attacked regions around Athens in Greece, while war raged across the globe. Norway became the first country in the world where electric cars outnumbered petrol cars and on a lighter note, Switzerland won the Eurovision Song Contest.
Looking back, it was a truly international year for Intercall. Export Manager, Adam Daniels took to the skies exhibiting Intercall around the globe, meeting and supporting partners in India, the Middle East, Egypt and Cyprus.
Celebrating established relationships, we were delighted to take part in the Jubilee edition of Intersec Dubai, having attended the first ever edition 25 years ago. It was also a year of new beginnings, with 2024 seeing Intercall take part in The Security Show at NEC Birmingham for the first time. It was a great event and we’re looking forward to taking part in the next one in April 2025.
UK Business Development Manager, Duncan Lade hit the road, taking part in Care Roadshows from Glasgow to Cardiff and Birmingham to Epsom Downs, meeting healthcare professionals across the UK. While the Intercall engineering team were busy behind the scenes responding to your feedback with ongoing adaptations and updates to our industry-leading care technology.
Staying close to home, we’re delighted to be the new season sponsors of local youth football team, Montpelier Villa Under 18s. While we’re proud to fly the flag for UK manufacturing around the world, we’re equally proud to support young people in our own community. We wish the boys a winning season.
2024 was a year of milestones for the Intercall team. Managing Director, Simon Hardy, celebrated his 60th birthday, while Production Engineer Sean Selley-West celebrated his 40th. Not to be outdone, Electronic Engineer, Sean Williams popped the question and married his lovely bride Emma in Las Vegas, Nevada. Huge congratulations all around.
So what of 2025?
2025 is shaping up to be another bumper year for Intercall, with events already planned across the year, kicking off with Intersec Dubai and Arab Health in January. And be sure to keep your eyes peeled for news of a new product launch later in the year!
